Our Firm
Lewis & Hand, LLP was founded in 2005 by principals Brett E. Lewis and Apryl E. Hand with the goal of providing high quality, responsive legal services in focused fields of practice. Two years later, Lewis & Hand, LLP has established itself as an authority in Internet Law, Domain Names, Real Estate, and Probate and Estate Administration. Along the way, we have expanded from two attorneys to an office of seven, attorneys and staff, and assisted hundreds of clients with their legal issues.

Our Attorneys
Firm principals, Brett E. Lewis and Apryl E. Hand, met while working for the highly regarded law firm Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts, now known as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. As associates, they benefited from working closely with esteemed attorneys and gained experience in their areas of concentration.

Later, Mr. Lewis worked as Associate General Counsel for Register.com, one of the largest domain name registrars in the world. At Register.com, Internet attorney Brett Lewis, resolved hundreds of domain name disputes, shut down websites of trademark and copyright infringers, as well as scam sites and so-called "phishing" sites, and successfully litigated a variety of legal issues.

Ms. Hand worked as an associate at Proskauer Rose before joining a boutique firm where Ms. Hand gained experience assisting couples with estate planning and real estate transactions. She continues to serve New Yorkers by advising and establishing binding legal documentation in matters ranging from domestic partnership agreements to health care directives to last wills and testaments.
