Apryl E. Hand, Esq. graduated cum laude from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, was a Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and a Member of the Journal of Law & Sexuality.

Ms. Hand’s practice focuses on residential and commercial Real Estate transactions, Estate Planning, Probate and Administration proceedings, Business and Partnership law and Taxation.

Ms. Hand worked for five years in the tax departments at two of the nation’s top large law firms as an associate, where she advised prominent conglomerates, partnerships, funds, trusts, non-profit organizations as well as high net worth individuals.

Ms. Hand began her law career at the venerable Wall Street firm of Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman) where she met her current law partner, Brett Lewis. She developed a substantial experience in taxation of international transactions. Later, from the midtown Manhattan offices of Proskauer Rose, she worked on the tax aspects of purchases and sales of debt, business transactions and international planning. Ms. Hand has also advised numerous tax exempt organizations, and serviced small and medium sized businesses from inception, guiding them on a broad range of issues.

Ms. Hand has also developed substantial knowledge and experience with New York City and State laws, in a range of areas, having served for nearly two years as the Senior Associate at the distinguished Manhattan LGBT boutique Kurland & Associates, recognized by the New York City Council for its legal excellence and for its accomplishments championing civil rights and the LGBT community.

A native of Orlando, Florida and a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Florida, Ms. Hand is a practicing conscientious marine aquarist, an accomplished stained glass artist and a vegetarian. Weather permitting, she can be seen riding her restored 1979 Vespa P200E scooter to work and, occasionally, to a real estate closing.
