Our Firm. Principals Brett E. Lewis and Apryl E. Hand formed Lewis & Hand, LLP in 2005 with the goal of providing responsive, high quality legal services in focused areas of practice. Several years later, Lewis & Hand, LLP has established itself as an authority in Internet Law, Domain Names, Probate and Estate Administration, Real Estate Transactions, Trademarks, Licensing and Agreements, Employment Agreements, Entertainment Law and Commercial Litigation. Along the way, we have expanded from two attorneys to an office of six attorneys plus staff, and assisted hundreds of clients with their legal issues.

Our Attorneys. Brett E. Lewis and Apryl E. Hand met while working in the New York office of Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts, now known as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. As associates, they benefited from working closely with esteemed attorneys and gained experience in their areas of concentration.

Later, Mr. Lewis worked as Associate General Counsel for Register.com, then, the second largest domain name registrar in the world. At Register.com, Mr. Lewis, successfully litigated a variety of legal issues, resolved hundreds of domain name-related disputes, and shut down websites of trademark and copyright infringers.

Ms. Hand worked as an associate at Proskauer Rose before joining a boutique firm where Ms. Hand gained experience assisting couples with estate planning and real estate transactions. She continues to serve New Yorkers by advising her clients in matters ranging from domestic partnership agreements to health care directives to last wills and testaments.

Our Purpose. We founded Lewis & Hand to provide our clients with personalized, high quality legal representation and advice, in a less formal setting.
